MGM’s Florence Nightingale Institute of Nursing Education had its inception in August 1992 for imparting 3 years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with an annual intake of 30 students. The Institute is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Maharashtra Nursing Council and Maharashtra State Board of Nursing and Paramedical Education. The Diploma programme in General Nursing and Midwifery has been revised to 3 years duration w.e.f August 2015.
Keeping in line with the motto of MGM trust “In pursuit of academic excellence", the institute strives to inculcate scientific knowledge, positive attitudes and skills in its students.
The institute is equipped with graduate and postgraduate teaching faculty, qualified/trained from the reputed institutes of India who bring the students at par with the best of institutes in the state.
The Institute has been able to establish and maintain the standards of nursing education and service that it has to its credit state level rank holders. So far 662 nurses have graduated from this institute who are working in the best of the hospitals in India and abroad.
